Our Mission

Enriching the lives of aging adults

Aging adults who participate in senior center programs learn to manage and delay the onset of chronic illness and experience considerable improvement in physical, mental and social well-being.

Our Purpose

Provide programs and services that enhance the quality of life for the aging population

CCSCF offers programs and services that promote positive and healthy aging. We have resources available that help seniors stay active and independent, and to age in place. We provide a safe meeting place for seniors to connect with peers and stay engaged in the community. Our programs provide solutions for challenges that aging adults face daily.

Our Impact

Our programs offer many benefits for the aging population. Each of our four program components (Nutrition, Fitness, Education and Socialization) have their own individual outcomes. Some of the benefits that seniors can expect are:

Increased cognitive functions
Increased energy levels
Improved self-esteem
More socially engaged
Overall enhanced quality of life

Reduced threat of hunger
Reduced risk of chronic diseases
Reduced risk of falls
Reduced risk of depression, anxiety, and loneliness

We are the only provider of Meals on Wheels and congregate meals in the four counties that we serve, which are: Comal, Guadalupe, Karnes and Wilson Counties. In 2021, over 1,100 unduplicated seniors, veterans, and disabled adults were served 121,155 meals. These meals were provided at no cost to the clients.

Our Partners

As a 501(C)(3) non-profit, we rely on the generosity of others. Foundations, businesses, churches and individuals provide tremendous support for our center through donations, grants, sponsorship and volunteerism.
